Heyven is an online directory of Minnesota's small businesses, including creators and nonprofits. We want browsers to discover great local businesses, support the communities they love, and help us grow Minnesota's thriving economic ecosystem. Learn more about us.
We define Creators as individuals with personal brands—influencers, models, photographers, artists, hairstylists—anyone whose face and given name is at the center of their brand.
We define Businesses as organizations offering products and/or services for profit. These often have a created brand name.
We define Nonprofits as groups organized for purposes other than generating profit. This includes 501(c) and 501(c)3 organizations, as well as some social enterprises. These organizations work to alleviate specific pain points within the community through the products and/or services they provide.
Nonprofits get a FREE Premium Membership! We typically ask for a receipt of an in-kind donation equal to the annual membership fee ($150). We may also request verification of your 501(c), 501(c)3, or other nonprofit status.

When filling out your Profile, you may choose to self-identify your ownership or leadership using tags such as “Black-owned” or “AAPI Creator". Browsers are able to filter for these tags and discover your profile.
You may also choose to designate your preferred pronouns.
These self-identification features are entirely optional.
We honor each member's choice of self-identification and we do not require any proof. Heyven is not liable for any misrepresented profiles on our website.
Here are the features of each Profile type:
Creators: profile image (headshot), banner image, name, title, self-identification info, short personal bio, offerings, email link, website link, social media handles, images, communities.
Businesses: profile image (logo or headshot), banner image, business name, business position, self-identification info, short company bio, offerings, email link, website link, social media handles, images, communities.
Nonprofits: profile image (logo), banner image, self-identification info, short organization bio, causes, email link, website link, social media handles, images, communities.
Yes! Due to the high volume of photos we host on our site, we require that each and every photo submitted must be under 2MB. Any photos submitted over this size will be compressed before being added to your profile.
First and foremost, your profile will be featured and discoverable on our website directory. The directory is free to browse, and our users will be able to find your profile based on your city, ownership, industry, and more. Users can then connect with you via your profile's website link, email link, and/or social media handles.
In addition to your profile, membership comes with the following perks:
Member Introduction Post - Within two weeks of signup, your profile will be featured in an introduction post on each of our social media channels, which are currently: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X (Twitter). Your profile will also be featured as a "New Member" in our next bimonthly email newsletter.
Ongoing Promotion - Your business will be promoted once every other month (six times per 12-month membership period) via one of our external marketing channels: email, blog, or social media. Heyven will typically decide the exact nature of this promotion. We will reach out periodically with opportunities to collaborate with us to produce content for use in these promotions, such as Member interviews and content creation sessions. Additionally, you may contact us up to six (6) times per 12-month membership period and make a request for a specific type of promotion along with information and assets you provide. Examples of this: “This month, I'm hosting a cohort and here is a graphic to post", or "I’d like for my new store hours to be announced on Instagram and Facebook.”
#HeyvenConnection - We will actively seek to introduce and connect you with relevant people and opportunities from within our network. You may also request specific types of introductions and connections from us which may help further your business goals. A couple of examples: "I'm hosting a popup market and am looking for vendors", or "I have an upcoming photo shot and need a great makeup artist." Please note that these connections and introductions are intended as a solid starting point for future collaborations and partnerships, and we can never guarantee a successful outcome.
Deals and Discounts - Our members get free or discounted access to all Heyven-hosted events, such as our networking hangouts, classes, and workshops. We will also frequently reach out with free or discounted admission to events hosted by our members and partners.
We are a small team of two and our new member process will take anywhere from 1-3 business days from when you submit your signup form. We may be processing several new members at the same time, and so these times will vary.
Members can request up to four rounds of profile changes per 12-month Membership period. You can reach out to us anytime at members@heyven.co with specific changes.
We are not able to offer refunds on your membership. Once a payment has been submitted the sale is final and your membership will remain active until the end of your subscription period.
If you need to step away from your business, we can deactivate or reactivate your profile at anytime upon your request.
