FOUNDER STORY
Deniesha J. Johnson is the creative director and founder behind D. Johnson & Co Greetings. During the global COVID 19 pandemic, she turned to card making as a source of calm, joy and connection while the world was changing around her. What began as a way to pour love into friends and family in Minneapolis grew into a business that now serves a wider community of people who want cards that look and feel like them. With a degree in business, a long career in project coordination and a lifelong background in art and design, Deniesha brings both precision and heart to every custom piece she creates. Her work invites Minneapolis customers and online shoppers alike to slow down, pick up a pen and send something that will be treasured.

OUR STORY
The story of D. Johnson & Co Greetings started years before the studio had a name. While planning events, Deniesha often designed custom cards and stationery to match each occasion. Even after she stepped away from event planning, people in Minneapolis kept asking for her cards because they felt personal, joyful and culturally relatable. As she noticed how few card options truly reflected Black families and communities of color, she decided to build a Minneapolis based studio focused on filling that gap. Today D. Johnson & Co Greetings offers custom greeting cards, event stationery, holiday collections and a membership club that helps people stay ready for every occasion. Each order is an invitation to make someone feel special through something handwritten, heartfelt and made with love.
