Rainbow Hair Hats began with a simple moment of imagination during a hospital stay. When a mother noticed her daughter’s EEG coverings and called them “rainbow princess hair,” she realized there was an opportunity to transform something clinical into something joyful. That idea grew into a mission to help families feel empowered during testing that can feel scary or isolating. Today the effort has expanded into awareness initiatives, community partnerships, and a commitment to give back ninety percent of profits to organizations supporting epilepsy education, research, and family resources.
Rainbow Hair Hats was founded by Lisa Finck a mother who experienced firsthand the emotional weight of childhood epilepsy after her youngest daughter was diagnosed with Tuberous Sclerosis Complex at seven weeks old. She has devoted herself to creating tools that help families navigate EEG testing with more ease. Her work reflects compassion, resilience, and the belief that every child deserves to feel brave, celebrated, and cared for during their medical journey.
